Error: Load library failed

When you launch Photoshop Elements, Elements Organizer, or Adobe Premiere Elements, you get the error message Load library failed with Error:1114: DLL failed to initialize.

This issue occurs when the performance setting for Photoshop Elements or Adobe Premiere Elements in the graphics card software is set to Optimize Graphics Performance.

Solution

To resolve this issue, set the performance setting for Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements, in your graphics card software, to High Performance. For example, if you have AMD graphics card then launch AMD Catalyst Control Center, add Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements to the list of applications settings, and set the setting to High Performance.
