Learn how to convert strokes to compound paths.

Converting a Stroke to a Compound Path allows for modifying the outline of the Stroke. For example, you can create a Stroke with a varied width or divide the stroke into pieces.

Select the object using the Selection tool from the Tools panel.

Select Object > Path > Outline Stroke.

Merk:

The resulting Compound Path is grouped with the filled object.

With the outlined Stroke selected, select Object > Compound Path > Make.
