Learn how to resolve the "Missing msvcp110.dll file” and “Missing msvcr110.dll file” errors.

When launching 64-bit versions of some Adobe apps, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro, you may see an error that the msvcp110.dll or msvcr110.dll file is missing. This occurs when the Visual C++ redistributable files aren’t properly installed on your computer.

Creative Cloud desktop app isn’t up-to-date

You can resolve the error by downloading and installing the latest version of the Creative Cloud desktop app:

Go to the Creative Cloud download page and select Download Creative Cloud.

Double-click the downloaded file to begin installation:

  • macOS: Creative_Cloud_Installer.dmg
  • Windows: Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your installation.

After the installation, sign in to your apps again.

Visual C++ redistributable files are not installed properly

If installing the latest version of the Creative Cloud desktop app doesn’t resolve the errors, reinstall the Visual C++ redistributable files:

Under the Latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Version section, select the download link based on whether your OS is 32-bit or 64-bit.

Go to your downloads folder and launch the downloaded EXE file.

Restart your computer.

Open the app again.
