Creative Cloud apps open in trial mode

Learn what to do if you have an active subscription for a Creative Cloud app, but it still opens in trial mode

Subscription language doesn’t match the installed app language

This issue can occur if you have an English-only plan, but your Creative Cloud desktop app is set to a different language. By default, the Creative Cloud desktop app uses your operating system's language. You can check your Creative Cloud plan on your Adobe account page.

To resolve this issue, change the app's language to English:

Select the Account icon in the upper-right corner, and then select Preferences.

The Account drop-down shows options such as Preferences, Sign out, and Adobe Account.
Selecting Preference will open a new window, showing various settings for customizing your app.

Note

If your screen looks different, follow the instructions for the earlier version of the Creative Cloud desktop app.

In the Preferences window, select Language in the left sidebar.

The Language tab of the Preferences window provides the options to change the Creative Cloud desktop app language, and the default install language for your apps.
With the Language tab, personalize your apps to display in a language of your choice.

Select the dropdown menu under Default install language, and change the language to English (International).

The dropdown menu under Default install language provides the option to change the language for your future app installations.
Changing the default install language doesn't change the language for an installed app.

Select Done to apply your changes.

All apps that you download after making this change install in the new language.

To apply the language change to an app already installed on your computer, uninstall and reinstall the app.
