Set RAW default settings when importing photos

Learn how to set RAW default settings when importing photos in Lightroom on mobile.

RAW default settings apply automatically during import, before you make any manual adjustments. You can select Adobe's standard processing, preserve your camera’s original settings, or use a custom preset to establish a consistent starting point for your editing workflow. This feature is available only for RAW-format photos and applies per camera model.

Select Lightroom > Import.

In the Raw Default settings section, select one of the following options:

Adobe Default to apply Adobe's standard processing.
Camera Settings to preserve your camera's original settings.
Choose Preset to apply a custom preset.

Note

If you select Camera Settings and Lightroom cannot find matching settings for your camera model, Adobe default settings are applied automatically.
