Learn how to draw guided lines on your photo to manually fix distorted perspective and straighten tilted subjects.
Use Guided Upright when automatic perspective correction doesn’t achieve the result you want, or when you need to correct specific lines in architectural or geometric subjects.
In the Crop and geometry panel, select the Geometry tab.
Select Guided Upright and then draw two to four guide upright lines.
When you draw at least two guide upright lines, the photo transforms interactively. You can draw up to four guide upright lines on the photo in the following combinations:
- Two horizontal guide upright lines only or two vertical guide upright lines only.
- Two horizontal guide upright lines and two vertical guide upright lines.
- Two horizontal guide upright lines and one vertical guide upright line.
- Two vertical guide upright lines and one horizontal guide upright line.
- One vertical guide upright line and one horizontal guide upright line.
For any other combination, the app displays an invalid guide message.
To delete a guide upright line, select the line and select Delete .

Note
Some Guided modes may crop pixels from your photo to correct perspective, even when the Constrain Crop toggle is off. You may not be able to retrieve the cropped pixels later in Crop mode.
