On the Firefly homepage, select Boards (beta).
Learn how to import videos or use generative AI video models, including non-Adobe models, to generate and add videos to your Firefly Boards canvas.
Start your mood board by adding videos that match your theme and vision. These can include clips, animations, or motion graphics to help set the tone and style. With Boards (beta), you can import your videos, use stock footage, or create new videos using generative AI models, including Firefly and non-Adobe models.
On the Boards page, select Create new board.
To import a video, use the Import option in the left panel to add it to the canvas.
To search and add videos from Adobe Stock, select the icon in the right toolbar. Then, use the Search panel to search, browse through the videos, and add it to the canvas.
To generate videos with a text prompt and add them to the canvas, select Describe what you want to generate at the bottom of the page.
Select the Video tab to view all the generation settings in the prompt bar.
Select a video model to use for video generation from the list of Firefly and partner models.
The availability of video generation settings depends on the video model selected. Learn more about generating videos with partner video models here.
If you have an image that you want to use as the first frame of the generated video, add an image under the First frame option.
Only Veo 3, from the list of available video models, does not have the option to add the first frame for video generation.
Along with the first frame for video generation, you can also add an image as the last frame. When you add both First frame and Last frame, these images serve as fixed points, providing guidance to ensure the video starts and ends with them.
The Firefly Video, Pika 2.2, and Ray2 models allow you to upload both the first and last frames for video generation.
If images have already been added to the canvas and you want to use one as the first frame, last frame, or sub-prompt, select the Sample from canvas option, then use the eyedropper tool to choose the image.
Select the aspect ratio for your generated video—Landscape, Portrait, Square, or Widescreen.
To use additional generation settings, select the Generation settings icon next to the Aspect ratio options. This activates the right-side panel, which includes the following additional settings:
- Sub-prompts: You have to option to browse through a range of sub-prompts from lighting to styles. When you select the preview thumbnails of the sub-prompts, they get added to the prompt bar.
- Seed: You can add a seed number that helps start the process and controls the randomness of what the AI creates. If you use the same seed, prompt, and control settings, you can generate similar video clips.
Add a text description in the prompt bar.
Drag the generated video and drop it onto the canvas, or hover above the video and use the Place on canvas option.
Once the video is added to the canvas, hovering over it reveals options to play, download, rearrange, flip, duplicate, and perform general actions like copy and paste.
