Correct transcript

Learn how to edit auto-generated transcripts in the Firefly video editor.

Auto-generated transcripts use speech recognition, which might occasionally miss words or phrases depending on how something is said or the audio quality. Firefly video editor offers the option to correct the auto-generated transcript. This makes sure the transcript is clear, accurate, and aligned with the actual spoken dialogue.

Before you begin:

Create a new project and add a video file with dialogue to the timeline.

Select the Text-based editing icon in the right panel.

Use the search option to look for a specific text in the transcript to correct or preview the video with the Auto-scrolling option enabled for the Text-based editing panel.

To correct a section of the transcript, highlight the text and choose the Correct transcript    icon from the context menu.

Use the Correct transcript option to correct any missed words or phrases in the transcript.

Once you make the changes, you can use the Correct all option to replace all instances in the transcript with the corrected one.
