Instead of relying on external tools or rewriting SME input manually, you can quickly create polished text that streamlines the entire content creation process.

Generate text using prompts

With the usage of text prompts, you can produce professional, consistent, and accessible eLearning content faster, helping you focus more on learner experience than on text editing. Refer to the article on how to write prompts for text generation in Captivate for more details.

Here is an example of a course on Workplace ergonomics, and how you can enhance the slide text using AI-powered text generation:

Select a text object (title, subtitle, body text) on any slide.
You have two ways to access the Generate text feature:
- Navigate to the top menu and select Generative AI > Generate text.
Access the Generate text feature through the Generative AI dropdown menu in the top navigation bar.
- The Generate text option is also available from the Visual Properties panel when a text object is selected.

Use any of the seven quick prompts to apply common refinements instantly, or enter a custom prompt to provide specific context and generate more targeted and refined results.

Select Refer text to use the generated output as a starting point for more improvements. This creates a feedback loop, letting you build on previous generations. Keep working until you get the result you want.

Refer text option allows using generated content as a foundation for further refinement.
Select Replace to replace the original text in the text box with the AI-generated content, or copy it to the clipboard and insert it into another text box.
