Adobe Express app FAQ
Get answers to frequently asked questions about the new Adobe Express app on mobile and iPad.
The new Adobe Express app is an entirely new version of Adobe Express, now available on mobile and iPad, which will replace the prior version of the Adobe Express app. The new version brings new video creation, generative AI, social content scheduling, and branding capabilities to mobile, along with many other features, including the ability to work across desktop and mobile phones. Eligible devices can now download the app via Google Play and Apple App Store.
Now that the new version of Adobe Express on mobile is generally available, eligible users will be sent straight to the new Adobe Express app experience to try out the new features and capabilities. After exploring, you'll have a choice to stay in the new app and trigger file migration or temporarily return to the prior version of the app. If you choose to migrate, you'll no longer have access to the prior version of the app. If you would like to return to the prior version, you'll have the opportunity to do so until you are ready to migrate. Eventually, with advance notice, all eligible devices will be required to use the new Adobe Express app, and all files made in the prior version will be migrated.
Learn how to migrate your files (https://helpx.adobe.com/express/adobe-express-on-mobile/troubleshoot/migrate-files.html) and finish upgrading to the new Adobe Express app.
With the new version of Adobe Express now available across all iOS surfaces, ensure you have updated to the latest version of the app. Then, when you use the app, check to make sure you have fully migrated your files to the new version of Adobe Express. If you see a purple ribbon at the top of your app, follow the provided steps to migrate. If you had previously migrated on your iPhone but had separate files you created afterward on your iPad in the prior version of Adobe Express. Please migrate those separately to sync them with your iPhone and desktop files.
Eventually, yes. While there will be a period where you have the option to return to the prior version after exploring the new Adobe Express, eventually (with advance notice), all eligible users will be required to migrate their files to the new app. At this point, the prior version of the mobile app will no longer be accessible.
The new Adobe Express mobile app is now available on many mobile devices and for all users on iPads. Review the complete list of supported mobile devices and technical requirements for Adobe Express on iPad.
- Android device: Eligible Android devices can download the new Adobe Express mobile app from the Google Play Store.
- iOS device: Eligible iOS devices can download the new Adobe Express mobile app from the Apple App Store.
Yes, for a limited time before support for the prior version of the mobile app will be discontinued. We will provide an advance notice before that happens.
The new Adobe Express mobile app is available worldwide, except for China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea, and the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
The new app is now available on iPads for all new and existing Adobe Express users. Support for Android tablets and vertical orientation support for iPads is also coming soon.
We are aware of performance issues on specific devices and are working on improvements over time. If you have more details about your device to share with us, help us with a report in our Community performance thread at https://www.adobe.com/go/performance-feedback-iPad.
Yes, you can download the new version of Adobe Express from the App Store. Once you update your primary app to the new Adobe Express, you no longer need to use the separate beta app, which has all the same features and capabilities.
Yes, for a period of time. Eventually, all eligible devices will automatically be updated to the new Adobe Express mobile app, and the standalone Spark Video and Spark Page iOS apps will no longer be available. However, video and webpage editing will be available in the new Adobe Express mobile app. Learn more about Adobe Express video files, Spark Video, and Spark Page at https://helpx.adobe.com/express/adobe-express-on-mobile/get-set-up/spark-video-page-ios.html.
If you use Spark Video on an iPhone and recently completed the new Adobe Express mobile app update, your Spark Video files were migrated and can be found in Your Stuff. If you haven't fully updated, please wrap up your Spark Video work. Once your files are migrated, they can be downloaded but will no longer be editable. For new video projects, please check out the video editing capabilities in the new Adobe Express mobile app. Eventually, the standalone Spark Video iOS app will no longer be available.
