Install and activate Frame.io

Frame.io centralizes communication and feedback around the most important asset there is — your video. No endless emails, confusing spreadsheets, or constant app switching.

Note

This article shows resources related to the Review with Frame.io (Legacy) panel for Premiere. If you’re using Frame.io Version 4 (V4), please note:

  • Frame.io V4 accounts are not compatible with this panel.
  • To use the new Frame.io V4 panel in Premiere 25.6 or later, go to Window > Frame.io > Frame.io V4. Learn more about it in this support article.
  • For users of Adobe Premiere v25.6 and later looking to use the Frame.io (Legacy) panel, the extension can now be found under Window > Frame.io > Frame.io (Legacy).

Access Frame.io in Adobe Premiere

Frame.io is natively built into Adobe Premiere 22.3 and later. To begin, open your Premiere and access Frame.io from the Review panel.

Select Window > Workspaces > Review.

Sign in to Frame.io with your existing Adobe ID.

Follow the prompts to access Frame.io.

Activate your Frame.io account

Frame.io is included with most Creative Cloud paid memberships. You can get started with Frame.io for Creative Cloud by signing in to Frame.io with your existing Adobe ID.

Note

Creative Cloud customers (Individuals and Creative Cloud Team members) are entitled to Frame.io for Creative Cloud at no additional cost. Frame.io for Creative Cloud is also included in Premiere and After Effects Single App subscriptions. For more information, see:

To activate your account:

  1. Open the in-app panel from Window > Extensions > Frame.io, select Continue or the Sign in button.
  2. It redirects to the Frame.io authentication portal on the web. Enter the email associated with your Creative Cloud subscription and select Let's go
  3. Select the Continue with Adobe button, which will redirect you to the Adobe authentication portal. Enter your details to sign in to your Adobe account. 
  4. Close the window and go back to the app on your machine.
