Use Agreement AI generative summaries - New

Последна актуализация на 2.09.2026 г.

Choose whether recipients can access an AI-generated agreement summary, then review the summary after the agreement is sent.

Agreement AI generative summaries provide a concise overview of an agreement to help senders and recipients understand its key information.

During authoring, you choose whether eligible recipients will be able to view the summary after it is generated. The summary is generated after you send the agreement.

The AI-generated summary is for informational purposes. Always use the complete agreement as the authoritative source.

Before you begin

Agreement AI generative summaries are available only when all applicable requirements are met:

  • Your account is an eligible VIP account.
  • Your account is hosted on a supported NA or EU shard.
  • Your organization has accepted the required Adobe generative AI terms.
  • Your administrator has enabled Agreement AI generative summaries for your account or group.
  • Limited Document Visibility isn't enabled for the agreement.
  • The account isn't configured for HIPAA readiness.
  • The agreement content submitted for summarization doesn't exceed 16 MB.
    • The 16 MB limit applies specifically to AI summary generation and is lower than the standard Acrobat Sign file-size limit.

Choose whether recipients can access the summary

If your administrator allows senders to share AI-generated summaries with recipients, you can make that choice while authoring the agreement.

Start a new agreement.

Add the agreement documents and recipients.

Continue to the field authoring environment.

Open the Agreement AI generative summary panel.

Choose whether to include the AI-generated summary for recipients.

Complete the agreement and select Send.

What happens after you send

After the agreement is sent, Acrobat Sign evaluates the eligible agreement content and generates the AI summary.

No additional action is required to start summary generation.

If recipient access was enabled, eligible recipients can view the generated summary as part of their agreement experience.

Generating the summary after send means the summary isn't available for sender review before the agreement is sent.

View the generated summary after sending

After the summary has been generated, you can review it from the agreement.

Go to Manage.

Open the agreement.

Open View Agreement.

Review the AI-generated summary.

Because the summary is generated using AI, review the agreement itself whenever you need to confirm contractual language, obligations, dates, or other important information.

Change whether recipients can view the summary after sending

After the agreement is sent, but before the first recipient has completed their action, you can use Modify Agreement to change whether recipients can view the existing AI-generated summary.

Go to the Manage page.

Open the agreement.

Select Modify Agreement.

Change whether the AI-generated summary is included for recipients.

Save the changes.

When a summary isn't available

An AI-generated summary isn't created when the agreement or account isn't eligible for the feature.

Common reasons include:

  • The agreement content exceeds the 16 MB summary-generation limit.
  • Limited Document Visibility is enabled.
  • The account is configured for HIPAA readiness.
  • The account isn't hosted on a supported NA or EU shard.
  • The required Adobe generative AI terms haven't been accepted.
  • Agreement AI generative summaries haven't been enabled for the applicable account or group.

If the feature should be available but isn't, contact your Acrobat Sign administrator.

Things to know

  • Acrobat Sign generates the summary after the agreement is sent, not during authoring.
  • Selecting recipient access during authoring doesn't generate the summary.
  • AI-generated summaries can contain incomplete or inaccurate information.
  • The summary doesn't replace the complete agreement.
  • The agreement remains the authoritative source for its terms and content.
  • Availability can depend on account and group configuration.
