Update Jetty for ColdFusion add-on services

  1. Download the zip from the location. This zip file contains the files for the complete Jetty server.

  2. Navigate to the Jetty installation directory, for example in Windows, C:\ColdFusion2016AddOnServices.

Take backups of the following files and folders:

    • etc, modules, and lib directories.
    • start.jar and start.ini files.
  3. Stop the Jetty server (ColdFusion 2016 Add-onServices).

  4. Delete the etc, modules, and lib directories and the files start.jar and start.ini.

Unzip the downloaded zip  and copy and paste the contents from the directory cfusion.jetty, except Webapps, to, for example in Windows, C:\ColdFusion2016AddOnServices.

  5. The new start.ini file has the value jetty.port set to 8987.  Change it to a different port if 8987 is already in use.

  6. If you are on a Linux OS, copy the contents of the folder Webapps. Do NOT copy/paste the Webapps directory.

  7. Restart the Jetty server
