Adobe offers free trials of its applications. This page provides information on downloading, installing, and troubleshooting. To get started, simply choose from the topics below.

I want to download a trial.

 

For a successful download, try the following before you start:

 

Have administrative privileges for the account you’re using. (Windows | Mac)
 

Use the latest version of Internet Explorer (Windows OS), Firefox (Windows or Mac OS), Chrome (Windows or Mac OS), or Safari (Mac OS).
 

Have a valid Adobe ID.
 

Disable pop-up blockers in your browser. See your browser's documentation for instructions.
 

Turn off firewalls, antivirus software, and third-party security software. (Windows | Mac)
 

Go to the Downloads page and click the desired product, or the Try option corresponding to the desired product. Follow the onscreen instructions. For further guidance, see below.

 

I need instructions for downloading and installing a trial.

To find download and install instructions for your product, click the product name below.

Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Premiere Elements trial download and install instructions

Select your operating system from the tabs below.

Windows OS

  1. Sign in with your Adobe ID (e-mail address and password that you have registered with Adobe).

    If you have not registered with Adobe, click Get an Adobe ID to register.

  2. In the Download page that opens, select a language from the drop-down list, then click the Download button. The Akamai Download Installer Manager opens.

     

    Click Download

     

    The Akamai Download Manager Installer opens and  starts downloading and installing Adobe Photoshop Elements.

  3. Select a destination to save the trial installation files. The software installs after the download is complete.

    Select destination and click Save

  4. Double-click the trial software to start the install. Select I Agree in the Akamai License Agreement and follow the installer prompts to install the software.

  5. Your trial software is installed and ready to use. You can access it by going to Start > All Programs and browsing, or by searching in the Start menu.

Mac OS

  1. Sign in with your Adobe ID (email address and password that you have registered with Adobe).If you have not registered with Adobe, click Get an Adobe ID to register.

  2. Select the language for the desired product, and click the Download button.

  3. Choose a destination to save the download, and click Open. You install the software when the download is complete.

  4. Wait for your trial software to download.

  5. When the software installer launches, select Try from the menu.

  6. Sign in with your Adobe ID.

  8. Click Launch Now to start using your trial.

Captivate and Technical Communications Suite trial download and install instructions

Select your operating system from the tabs below.

Windows OS

  1. Visit the Captivate trial download page or the Technical Communication Suite trial download page.

  2. Sign in with your Adobe ID (email address and password that you have registered with Adobe).If you have not registered with Adobe, click Get an Adobe ID to register.

  3. Fill the form and click Download.

    Click Download
  4. Choose a save destination. The Akamai Download Manager installer downloads the product in the specified location as shown here.

  5. Click the Install Now button to start installing your software.

  6. Choose a save destination for your trial software.

  7. Click the Try button to begin installing your trial software.

    Click Try
  8. Follow any installer prompts.

    Click Accept
  9. Your trial software is installed and ready to use. You can access it by going to Start > All Programs.

Mac OS

  1. Visit the Captivate trial download page or the Technical Communication Suite trial download page.

  2. Sign in with your Adobe ID (email address and password that you have registered with Adobe).If you have not registered with Adobe, click Get an Adobe ID to register.

  3. Fill the form and click Download.

    Click Download
  4. Locate the downloaded file. If you aren't sure where your download went, see the Find downloaded files page. Double-click the Akamai NetSession Interface.pkg icon.

  5. Follow the Akamai Download Manager Installer prompts.

    Click Continue
  6. Once Akamai Download Manager has been installed, you can start downloading your trial software.

  7. Choose a destination, and Save your trial software.

  8. Once the download finishes, click the Install Now button.

  9. Double-click the software icon.

  10. Create an Adobe ID if you haven't already, or sign in. Continue through the installer, following the prompts.

  11. Your trial software is ready to use. You can access it through your Applications folder.

Once the trial period has ended, Adobe Support cannot assist you in extending your trial, even if the trial ended prematurely. Trial periods end prematurely for various reasons. Several reasons include changes to your system time, or modifications to the product installation or launch files (that is, permissions changes).
