Supported browsers
The Firefox plug-in for Adobe Contribute CS5 and CS5.1 allows you to use the Contribute editing plug-in in Firefox. After you install the update, the following browsers are supported:
- Firefox 4
- Firefox 5
Installation instructions
Follow the instructions below to download and install the Firefox plug-in.
Mac OS

Double-click AdobeContribute6-CS5-FFInstaller-MAC.dmg or AdobeContribute6-CS5.1-FFInstaller-MAC.dmg respectively on your Desktop.

Double-click the FirefoxExtension mounted image to install the patch.
Windows

Download the Firefox plug-in for Adobe Contribute CS5 or the Firefox plug-in for Adobe Contribute CS5.1

Extract the ZIP file and open it.

Double-click FirefoxExtensionSetup to install the patch.
Known issues
- Try reinstalling Firefox patch if Firefox plug-ins or extensions are not appearing properly because of frequent Firefox updates.
Mac OS
- Firefox browser version is not verified. Users are expected to download and install the respective appropriate version for the plug-ins to work.
- Ensue that Firefox is opened in 32-bit mode to use Contribute’s plug-in. To do so, right-click Firefox app and select Get Info. Check Open in 32-bit mode option.
- After installation of Contribute, it's possible that Firefox plug-ins are listed in Addons. If you want to remove the Contribute plug-ins, go to ~\Library\Internet Plug-ins\ and delete npcontributeMac.bundle.
Windows
- After installation of Contribute, it's possible that Firefox plug-ins are listed in Addons. If you want to remove the Contribute plug-ins, go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins and delete npcontribute.dll.
