Adobe Creative Cloud and Slack bring creative work and teamwork together. With the Creative Cloud for Slack app, designers can easily share their work, get feedback, and stay up-to-date on actions taken on their assets.

Install the Creative Cloud for Slack app

  1. Do one of the following:

    • Visit the Creative Cloud Slack page.
    • Visit Slack App Directory, and search for "Adobe Creative Cloud". Choose the app from the search results and then click Visit Site to Install on the app home page.  

    The Creative Cloud Slack page is displayed.

  2. Click Connect to Slack. You may be asked to sign in. Sign in with your Adobe ID.

  3. On the consent page, click Allow Access to grant required access to the app.  

  4. On the next page, authorize the Creative Cloud app for Slack - click Authorize.

  5. On the next page, click Go to Slack.


If you see the following error message - your admin does not allow this app, that means the app is not listed as an approved app for your workspace. To request approval from the workspace owner, do the following:

  1. Click the Request button below the app's icon.
  2. The workspace owner may require or allow you to include a custom message with your request.
  3. Click Submit Request.

Share Creative Cloud assets in Slack

You can share the following types of Creative Cloud assets:

  • Creative Cloud file formats: .ai, .indd, .psd, .dn, and .xd
  • Creative Cloud Library elements: Library folders, fonts, and colors
  • File types: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .svg 

You can share an asset in the following two ways:  

  • Paste the public link to the Creative Cloud asset you want to share in the message box. A preview of the corresponding asset is displayed.

  • To share an asset from your computer, do the following:

    1. Click the plus icon + to the left of the message box, and then choose Your Computer.
    2. Browse and select a supported Creative Cloud asset or file type and click Open.
    3. In the upload a file dialog box, add a message about the file and click Upload.

Stay up-to-date on comments left on XD prototypes and design specs

The Creative Cloud bot sends messages directly to you whenever comments are left on Adobe XD prototypes and design specs you are collaborating on.

Who receives notifications?

  • The asset owner receives notifications when reviewers add comments, modify comments, or reply to comments.
  • Other users who are part of a comment thread receive notifications on that thread only.

Notifications are enabled by default. You can use the "off" command to disable the notifications.

  • To disable notifications, choose Adobe Creative Cloud app in the sidebar, type "off" in the message box and then press Enter.

Get help and provide feedback

  • To see what all you can do with the app, choose Adobe Creative Cloud in the sidebar, type "help" in the message box and then press Enter.

  • To give feedback on the app, choose Adobe Creative Cloud in the sidebar, type "feedback" followed your feedback text in the message box and then press Enter.
