Create videos in Adobe Express

Learn how to create videos from scratch in Adobe Express.

Follow along with any design to create a video.

On the Adobe Express homepage, select Start from your content and upload a video from your device.

Select Edit video.

To add more media from your device, select Add media   in the timeline, then select Upload media

To add Adobe Stock content, select Media from the left panel and select from Photos and Videos.

Add text, graphics, icons, and other creative assets from the left panel.

To add audio, select Add audio in the timeline. 

Manage scenes in your video project with these actions:

  • Trim a scene: Select a scene and drag the handles to adjust its duration.
  • Re-order scenes: Select and drag a scene to its new position in the sequence.
  • Select multiple scenes: Hold down the Shift key and select each scene you want to include.

To adjust the volume or speed of your video, or to apply effects, select the scene in the timeline and then select the more   icon.

To adjust the duration of text, graphics, or icons, select Switch views to explore multiple view options and select one that best suits your needs:

  • All layers (Beta):  You can trim, split, and move layers within a scene, all in a single view. This is currently available only on desktop.
  • Scene view: In this simplified view, you can quickly apply bulk settings like mute all videos and apply duration to all scenes
  • Selected layer: Select the object you want to adjust on the canvas, and it will appear in the timeline. You can then select the trim handles and drag them to the duration of your choice. You can also move the object to appear at a certain point by selecting it and dragging it horizontally.

Switch to All layers view in the timeline to place objects exactly where you want them in your video.

Select the more   icon on a scene or right-click to Split, Copy, Paste, Add transition, and more.

Once the video is ready, select Download   from the header to save it to your device.
