Add audio tracks to designs

Last updated on Apr 10, 2026

Learn how to add an audio track to your design in Adobe Express.

Add multiple audio tracks to your design by uploading files from your device or selecting music and sound effects in Adobe Express. You can add up to three audio tracks, two for music or sound effects and one for voiceovers.

Open a design in the Adobe Express editor.

In the left panel, select Add content    > Media > Audio.

Select Upload from device to add your own file, or choose from Sound Effects and other Adobe Stock audio.

Note
  • In addition to uploading audio files from your device, you can select Record voiceover to add your voiceover.
  • Submit a content ID code if you receive a copyright claim when uploading a video to YouTube that uses Adobe Stock music tracks.

If your design includes multiple audio tracks, the tracks you’re not editing remain collapsed. Select any track to expand it and make edits.

Drag the handles to modify the track’s duration.

Right‑click a track or select the three‑dot menu to delete, split, mute, or perform other actions.

The video sceneline panel displays a green audio track panel with a right-click menu open, showing options to delete, mute, or split the audio track. The audio waveform is visible for the soundtrack.
Right-click on the audio track to mute, delete, spilt, or perform other actions.

Tip

The green audio track panel displays the waveform clearly, showing where the audio rises and falls, making it more straightforward to work with audio files in your project.
