Learn how to insert or replace objects in an image using simple text inputs.

Follow along with a file or template and learn how to insert or replace objects.

  1. On the Adobe Express homepage, select Generative AI.

  2. Go to Generative fill and select Upload image to start.

  3. In the Generative fill panel, Use the Brush size slider to select your brush size.

  4. Using the brush tool, highlight a specific area or object within the image.

  5. Type a prompt in the Make whatever you imagine textbox to describe the changes you want to see.

  6. Select Generate.

  7. Choose an image from the Results or select Load more to see additional options.

  8. Select Download.

Result

The image is updated based on the area highlighted by the brush and the text prompt.

Note:

To undo all your edits and return the image to its original state, select the Restore image icon in the Generative fill panel.
