Set RAW import defaults
Learn how to select Adobe defaults, camera settings, or custom presets to import RAW photos.
RAW import defaults determine how Adobe Lightroom on mobile initially processes RAW photos from your camera. You can apply the same processing settings to all RAW photos from a specific camera model, ensuring consistent results. This setting applies only to newly imported RAW files and does not affect photos already in your library.
Configure RAW import defaults
From the Raw Default dropdown, select one of the following options: Adobe Default to use Adobe's standard processing, Camera Settings to preserve your camera's settings, or Choose Preset to apply a custom preset automatically.
If you selected Choose Preset, select the preset you want to apply to all imported RAW photos from this camera.
If you select Camera settings and Lightroom cannot find matching settings for your camera model, Adobe Default settings are applied automatically.
Apply lens corrections automatically
You can use RAW defaults to apply lens profile corrections to your RAW photos during import.
Select Lightroom > Import.
From the Raw Default dropdown, select Choose Preset.
Select Defaults from the Yours preset list, then select one of the available lens correction presets.
Configure RAW import defaults
Select Menu > Preferences.
In the Preferences panel, select Photo Import Options.
Select the RAW DEFAULT drop-down menu, and then select one of the following options:
- Adobe Default: Apply Adobe's standard processing settings to your RAW photos.
- Camera Settings: Preserve the original camera settings of your photo.
- Choose Preset: Apply a custom preset to all imported RAW photos. Select Choose Preset, select a preset group, and then select a desired preset.
If you select Camera Settings and Lightroom cannot find matching settings for your camera model, Adobe Default settings are applied automatically.
Apply lens corrections on import
You can also automatically apply lens profile corrections and noise reduction to photos during import using presets.
Select Menu > Preferences.
In the Preferences panel, select Photo Import Options.
Select the RAW DEFAULT drop-down menu, and then select Choose Preset.
Select the preset group drop-down menu, and then select Defaults.
Select a preset that includes Lens to apply lens correction or Lens + NR to apply lens correction and noise reduction to your imported RAW photos.
