Organize albums into folders
Learn how to create folders and organize related albums in Lightroom mobile.
Folders help manage large album collections by grouping related albums together. After you create a folder, you can move albums into it or create albums directly within the folder.
Create a folder
In the Lightroom albums panel, select Create new.
From the menu that appears, select Folder.
In the Create Folder dialog box, type a title, and then select OK.
Manage folder contents
Select the Lightroom tab, and then select the albums view drop-down menu.
In the Lightroom albums panel, scroll to Your albums, and then select the Options icon next to your folder name.
Manage the following settings that appear in the pop-up menu:
- Add album or folder: Create a sub-folder in the selected folder to organize your albums.
- Move to: Move the folder to another folder in Lightroom.
- Rename: Change the name of the folder.
- Delete: Permanently delete the folder and its contents.
Move album to folder
Select the Lightroom tab, and then select the albums view drop-down menu.
In the Lightroom albums panel, scroll to Your albums, and then select the Options icon next to your album name.
From the menu that appears, select Move to, select the folder, and then select Move.
Create a folder
Select the Lightroom tab, and then select the albums view drop-down menu.
In the Lightroom albums panel, select Create new.
From the menu that appears, select Folder.
In the Create Folder dialog box, add a Folder Title, and then select OK.
Manage folder contents

In the Lightroom albums panel, scroll to Your albums, and then select the Options icon next to your folder name.

Select the Lightroom tab, and then select the albums view drop-down menu.
In the Lightroom albums panel, scroll to Your albums, and then select the Options icon next to the album you want to move.
From the menu that appears, select Move to, select the folder, and then select MOVE.
