Create podcasts

Learn how to turn your documents into engaging audio podcasts in Adobe Acrobat on the web.

Generate podcast feature in Acrobat turns any document or PDF Space into a quick, engaging audio overview, perfect for fast learning, hands‑free review, or accessible listening. Choose a summary or a deeper, conversational format, customize tone and expertise level, and get notified when your audio is ready. It's a simple way to digest reports, briefs, research, or legal content on the go.

Turn documents into podcasts

Go to Acrobat on the web and open the PDF you want to convert into a podcast.

Select Listen to this document  from the top menu and then choose a format: 

  • Highlights podcast: For a focused summary 
  • Deep dive podcast: For detailed exploration

Once the podcast is generated in the chosen format, an AI podcast control bar appears at the bottom.

Listen to your podcast using the controls for play, pause, and skipping.

To view the full transcript, select View transcript

Use the Playback speed and Volume controls to adjust the settings as needed.

You can listen to the podcast using your selected settings, view the transcript, and share feedback using Adobe Acrobat.

To close the podcast control bar, select More options > Close & hide.

Turn PDF Spaces into podcasts

After generating the podcast, you can edit the transcript—update existing sections, add new sections, or refine the narration—so the podcast sounds exactly the way you want.

Open the PDF Space, select Podcasts from the left menu, and then select Create a podcast.

To customize your podcast, enter your topic, focus, or audience, choose a format, and then select Generate.

You can guide the podcast with your own prompt and choose how the content is summarized before generating it.

Once the podcast is generated, select Play to listen to it.

Select the podcast to view the transcript and listen to it with controls.

Use the Playback speed and Volume

controls to adjust the settings as needed.

Listen to the podcast in your preferred format. To play it on the go, scan the QR code at the bottom of the Podcasts pane.

To customize the transcript, hover over any section and select Edit, update the text or add a new section as needed, and then select Update to apply your changes.

Editing the transcript updates the podcast content without regenerating it. You can quickly refine wording, add context, or adjust the flow before sharing.

Select Hide transcript to stop displaying the transcript.
