Learn how to use mirror repeat options to modify your symmetrical artwork.
In the Repeat Options dialog box, select the Mirror tab.
Set the Angle of mirror axis to the desired angle.
Sfat:
To edit a specific shape or object in the repeated pattern, select your artwork, then select Object > Expand to create a group of shapes to edit them independently.
Modify mirror repeat using on-canvas controls
Double-click the artwork.
Use the following on-canvas controls to modify mirror repeat:
- Drag the handles below or above the original artwork to rotate or transform the mirrored part.
- Drag the symmetry axis between the two shapes to control the angle and spacing between the two artworks. When finished, double-click away from the objects to hide the control handles. Illustrator groups both halves of the artwork together to move them as a single object. To edit them again, double-click the artwork.
