Fill color, pattern, or gradient in objects using the Fill and Stroke tool. You can also the change weight of a stroke using the Stroke tool.

  1. Select the object using the Selection tool  or the Direct Selection tool  .

  2. Click the Fill and Stroke tool   in the Tools panel, the Properties panel, or the Color panel.

  3. Double-click the Fill and Stroke tool and select a color from the Color Picker.

  4. Press and hold X to toggle between Fill and Stroke options.
