Learn how to re-record actions in Illustrator to update or replace steps for consistent and customized automation.

Select Window > Actions.

Select an action and select Record Again from the Actions panel menu.

The Record Again option is highlighted in the Actions panel menu. — Select Record Again in the Actions panel menu to update your workflow with new steps in Adobe Illustrator.

If a modal tool appears, use the tool to create a different result, and press Enter or Return, or just press Enter or Return to retain the same settings.

If a dialog box appears, change the settings, select OK to record them, or select Cancel to retain the same values.
