Change or replace backgrounds

On the Photoshop on iPhone homescreen, select Remove background  .

Select an image from the device files, and Photoshop automatically removes its background.

In the Add background panel, select any of these options to add a background image:

• Add an image: Inserts an image from device files or Adobe Stock.
• Fill with a color: Fills the background with a solid color.
• Generate background: Generates background with a prompt.

Select the checkmark   to commit the change.

On the Photoshop on iPhone homescreen, select Create new   and browse for a photo.

Select Remove background  .

In the Add background panel, select any of these options to add a background image:

• Add an image: Inserts an image from device files or Adobe Stock.
• Fill with a color: Fills the background with a solid color.
• Generate background: Creates a new background using generative AI.

Select the checkmark   to commit the change.

On the Photoshop on Android homescreen, select Create new   and browse for a photo.

Select Actions > Remove background   to instantly remove the background.

To change the background, select Add image   and use any of these options:

• Add photos: Adds an image from your device.
• Add from Adobe Stock: Adds free content from Stock.
• Take a photo: Captures a photo using your phone’s camera.
• Add from Lightroom: Adds an image from your Lightroom catalog.
• Browse: Adds an image from your device files.

Select Layer properties > Transform   to resize, rotate, or reposition the new image.

Select the checkmark   to commit the change.

In the Layers panel, touch and hold this new layer, then drag it below the masked layer to set it as a background.
