This article provides information on how to clean reinstall Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements on Window and macOS.

Solution

Uninstall the application on Windows

  1. In the taskbar, right click Start menu and choose Control panel.

  2. Select Programs > Programs and Features.

  3. Select Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe Premiere Elements.

  4. (Optional) If you don't want to keep the application preferences, select Remove Preferences.

  5. Select Uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions to remove the application.

Uninstall the application from macOS

  1. Open Finder and navigate to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.

  2. Uninstall Adobe Photoshop Elements or Adobe Premiere Elements.

  3. (Optional) If you don't want to keep the application preferences, select Remove Preferences. 

  4. Click Uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions to remove the application.

Check if the application is properly uninstalled

Windows: go to install location and check for the application. If the application is present, delete the folder.

macOS: open Finder and navigate to Applications and check for PSE or PRE. If the folder is present, delete it.

Reinstall PSE/ PRE

If you have the application setup, launch and run the application. If you do not have application setup, download, install, and launch the application.

To reactivate the application, enter the serial key. For more information, see Find the serial number of your Elements product.
