Free Adobe trials

Your trial begins as soon as you sign up for the free trial. At the end of your trial, your subscription begins, and we will automatically charge your payment method at the rate stated on the day you signed up for your trial unless you cancel before the end of your trial. Cancel before your trial ends, and you won’t be charged.

Adobe subscriptions FAQs

When does the subscription begin?

Your subscription begins as soon as we process your payment. In the case of a trial, your subscription begins after your trial ends, unless you cancel.

How do I renew my subscription?

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of the subscription period unless you cancel.

Is the price the same throughout the subscription period?

Yes, the price remains fixed throughout the subscription period. Prices may change, but only on renewal, and we will always inform you beforehand.

Cancellation of subscriptions

Do I get a refund if I cancel?

A refund depends on when you cancel and the type of subscription you purchased. For most plans, you get a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase.

What happens if I cancel after 14 days?

If you purchased directly from Adobe and cancelled more than 14 days after your initial purchase, your payment is non-refundable and may be subject to a cancellation fee.

  • Annual, billed monthly plan: If you cancel within 14 days of your initial order, you'll receive a full refund. For each annual commitment, if you cancel after 14 days and before the end of month 4, you'll be charged a lump sum amount of 50% of your remaining contract obligation, and your service will continue for two more months at no charge. If you cancel after the end of month 4, you'll be charged a lump sum amount of 50% of your remaining contract obligation, and your service will continue only until the end of that month's billing period.
  • Annual, prepaid plan: After 14 days, your payment is non-refundable, and your service will continue until the end of your contracted term.
  • Monthly plan with no annual commitment: After 14 days, your payment is non-refundable, and your service will continue until the end of that month’s billing period.

If you purchased your Adobe apps through a third-party reseller or mobile app store, the third-party reseller or mobile app store terms will apply.

What happens to my files if I cancel?

For individual plans, if you decide to cancel your paid subscription, you'll lose access to premium Creative Cloud applications and services included in your paid Creative Cloud subscription when your service ends. You can find this date in your cancellation confirmation email and your Adobe account. Your account also converts to a Creative Cloud free membership.

Note

If you have an annual, billed monthly plan and cancel after 14 days and before the end of month 4 of any contract year, your service continues for two more months at no charge. Your account converts to a free Creative Cloud membership after that.

A Creative Cloud free membership lets you continue to access your files in the Creative Cloud folder on your computer and via the Creative Cloud website. If you've exceeded the storage limit for your Creative Cloud free membership, you'll have 30 days to move the excess files. You'll be unable to store any additional files until you reduce your storage.

With a free membership, you can sign in to your Creative Cloud desktop app with the same Adobe ID and password and access all free membership features.
