Understand Adobe's auto-renewal policy

Last updated on 22 Oct 2026

Understand how auto-renewal works for your Adobe subscription, and how you can prevent it from renewing automatically.

Note

If you've purchased an individual annual prepaid plan in Brazil or an individual annual prepaid plan in Vermont, you can change your automatic renewal settings via your Adobe account.

Auto-renewal keeps your Adobe subscription active without interruption. Most Adobe plans renew automatically until you cancel your subscription. The renewal frequency depends on your plan type:

Annual plans

Renew automatically each year on your subscription date

  • You receive a notification before your renewal date.
  • You are notified about any upcoming changes.

Monthly plans

Renew automatically each month

  • You are charged the rate stated at purchase.
  • You are notified in advance of any rate changes.

Turn off auto-renewal

Currently, you cannot stop your plan from renewing automatically. To turn off auto-renewal, you’ll need to cancel your Adobe subscription.

When you cancel your subscription:

  • Your plan stays active until your service ends. You can find this date in your cancellation confirmation email and your Adobe account.
  • You keep access to your Adobe apps and services during this time.
  • If you cancel within 14 days of your initial order, you'll receive a full refund. For each annual commitment, if you cancel after 14 days and before the end of month 4, you'll be charged a lump sum amount of 50% of your remaining contract obligation, and your service will continue for two more months at no charge. If you cancel after the end of month 4, you'll be charged a lump sum amount of 50% of your remaining contract obligation, and your service will continue only until the end of that month's billing period.
  • You can purchase a new subscription to continue using Adobe apps and services after your service ends.
