Learn how to enable People View to organize your photos and view categorized photos of people.

When you enable the People View and upload and sync photos to the cloud, Lightroom can detect, recognize, and group photos of the same person. You can access these photos in the People View and easily browse the photos of a particular person.

Enable or disable People view

If you're a new user, the People view is disabled by default. When the People view feature is enabled, Lightroom for desktop (Mac and Windows) and Lightroom for mobile (iOS and Android) analyze photos in the cloud to create models of faces to group similar faces together. By enabling this feature, you're letting us know that it's okay for Adobe to create these models on your behalf and that you have approval from the individuals featured in your photos.

When you disable People view, all existing face model data is deleted from Lightroom servers. Existing groups of similar faces will remain showing in the People view, but Lightroom will stop analyzing your photos to find people and similar faces will no longer be automatically grouped together.

Lưu ý:

The People view feature isn't available on images uploaded from Illinois.

  1. Select Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Lightroom > Preferences (macOS).

  2. In the preferences dialog box, click the General tab.

  3. Under the Privacy section, select Enable People View. If you want to disable People view, deselect this option.

  4. Click Done.

To know more about this preferences setting, see General preferences.

  1. Do one of the following to access the Settings menu:

    • If you're in the Albums view, tap the Settings icon () at the upper-right corner of the screen.
    • If you're in the Grid view or Loupe view, tap the three-dots icon at the upper-right corner of the screen, and select Settings from the pop-up menu.
  2. In the Settings panel, select People View to enable the feature. If you want to disable this feature, deselect this option.

  1. Launch the app and tap App Settings () in the upper-left corner of the screen.

  2. Select Preferences > People View and use the toggle to turn on or off the People view categorization.

View people in your photos

  1. In My Photos  panel at the upper-left side of the screen, select People to view the People View.

In this view, you can access People clusters where each cluster contains photos of a particular person. The total number of photos for each person is listed below the cover photo of the cluster.

    Lưu ý:

If the People View is not yet enabled, open Lightroom preferences, click the General tab and select Enable People View under the Privacy section.

Initially, the People View may say 'No People Found Yet'.  This message is displayed when Lightroom is still analyzing all your photos to find people, or when there aren't any people in your photos.  The analysis takes place on Adobe's servers and does not require you to have the Lightroom app open on your computer.  You can close Lightroom without impacting the time to complete the analysis.

  2. Click any cluster to view photos of that person. You can also view the total number of photos in the cluster at the upper-right corner of the screen.

Sort options in People View

You can use the following options to sort People clusters in the People View:

  • Count (Number of photos in a cluster)
