Why doesn't the Creative Cloud version of Lightroom take the serial number from my previously purchased (perpetual license) version of Lightroom?
You can’t use the serial number from your perpetual license with the Creative Cloud version of Lightroom. Creative Cloud products license with your Adobe ID. Even though a Lightroom 4 Creative Cloud installation includes a serial number, it is only used for registration, not installation.
Ensure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements (Lightroom 4 does not support Windows XP). If the requirements are met, install the latest version of Adobe Application Manager available for download here.
I am a Creative Cloud subscriber. Why do I not see Lightroom 4 on the Apps & Services page for download?
Lightroom 4 does not work with the Windows XP operating system. Therefore, Lightroom 4 isn't visible on the Apps & Services page or in the Adobe Application Manager on Windows XP systems. To download and install Lightroom 4, upgrade your operating system to Windows Vista or later.
If you purchased Lightroom in the last 30 days, contact Customer Service for a refund, or see this document.
