Create shared albums for others to contribute

In the Lightroom   tab, select the desired album from the drop-down list, and then select Share . 

In Share & Invite panel, select Get shareable link to generate a link for the album you want to share. Apply the following settings to customize album sharing:

• By default, the Link Access field is set to Anyone can view. This creates a public link that anyone can view.
• Alternatively, change the Link Access setting to Invite only from the drop-down to create a private link that only members whom you invite can view or contribute to your album. 

Select the Settings to further change the following General settings:

• Allow comments and likes: Turn on to let others comment on and like your shared album photos.
• Allow JPG downloads: Turn on to let others download photos from the shared album.
• Anyone can add photos: Turn on to allow anyone to add photos to public shared albums.
• Show metadata: Turn on to let others view the metadata of shared album photos.
• Show location info: Turn on to let others view the location information of shared album photos.
• Allow access requests: Turn on to let users request access to view your shared album.

Select the WhatsApp , Message , or Share icons to share the album link via the corresponding app.

Enable the Anyone can add photos, to allow anyone to add photos to public shared albums.

Select Customize title & template to apply the following settings:

• Show title: Turn on to display the album title.
• Show author: Turn on to display the author's name.
• Theme: Select Photo grid, Column, or One-Up to set the photo layout. 
• Appearance: Select Dark or Light to set the background.

To share an album and manage invitees, select Invite people and then follow these steps:

• Select Contact  to select the people you want to share the album with.
• Enter their email addresses in the field, then select Send to send the invite. You can also view the list of email addresses you have already invited. Next to each email address, select Access to set that person's album access. Select from one of the following access settings:
• Can view: The invitee can only view the shared album.
• Can contribute: The invitee can add photos to the shared album.
• Can edit and contribute: The invitee can edit and add photos to the shared album. They can also export photos in JPG format.
• Remove: The invitee is removed from the shared album.
• Select Send.

Select the Lightroom tab, and then select the albums view drop-down list.

In the Lightroom albums panel, scroll to Your albums, and then select the Options icon next to your folder name.

Select Get shareable link, and then select Copy to copy the link for the album you want to share.

Apply the following settings in the Link Access field to customize album sharing:

• Alternatively, change the Link Access setting to Private: Invite Only from the drop-down to create a private link that only members whom you invite can view or contribute to your album.

Select Settings to further change the following General and Link settings:

• General

  • Allow JPG downloads: Turn on to let others download photos from the shared album.
  • Anyone can add photos: Turn on to allow anyone to add photos to public shared albums. This function is unavailable in private shared albums.
  • Show metadata: Turn on to let others view the metadata of shared album photos.
  • Show location info: Turn on to let others view the location information of shared album photos.
• Link
  • Allow access requests: Turn on to let users request access to view your privately shared album. This function is unavailable in public shared albums.

You can also enable the Anyone can add photos feature in the Share & Invite panel.

Select Customize title & template and manage the following settings:

• Show Author: Toggle on to display and modify the author's name.
• Theme: Select Photo Grid, Column, or One-up to set the album layout.
• Appearance: Select Dark or Light to set the background.

To invite specific people and manage access, follow these steps:

• In the Share & Invite panel, select Members to select the people you want to share the album with.
• Enter email addresses or add emails from your contact list by selecting the Contact icon.
• Select the Access icon next to the Enter an e-mail address field to manage access for all members, or next to an email address to set access for each member separately, and select one of the following:
• Can View: The invitee can only view the shared album.
• Can Contribute: The invitee can add photos to the shared album.
• Can Edit and Contribute: The invitee can edit and add photos to the shared album. They can also export photos in JPG format.
• Delete: The selected invitee is revoked from accessing the album.
• Select Send.
