Turn off generative AI features

Learn how to turn off the generative AI features in Adobe Acrobat.

Generative AI features are enabled by default, but you have control over their use. Individual users can turn off features if desired, and admins can revoke access for teams or organizations.

Close all open documents in Acrobat and go to:

Windows: Menu > Preferences > Generative AI
macOS: View > Preferences > Generative AI

Deselect the Enable generative AI features checkbox.

The Generative AI Preferences window is open with options to Enable generative AI features in Acrobat, Clear all chat history, and more. — Enable or disable AI features in Acrobat from Preferences.

Select OK to save the changes.
