Learn how to customize the appearance and behavior of form fields in Adobe Acrobat.
Right-click a form field and select Properties.
In the Text Field Properties dialog box, modify the following settings in the General tab:
- Name: Enter a unique name for the field.
- Tooltip: Add text that appears when users hover over the field.
- Field type: Change the type of form field such as text field, checkbox or dropdown.
- Participant role: Specify who can interact with this field.
- Signer's email: Enter the email of the person who should sign this field.
If you have multiple form fields selected, you can modify additional options under Common Properties in the General tab:
- Form Field: Choose whether the field is visible, hidden, visible but doesn't print, or hidden but printable.
- Orientation: Rotate the selected fields
- Read Only: Prevent users from changing the selected fields
- Required: Make the selected fields mandatory
To set the modified properties as default for a field type, right-click the form field and select Use Current Properties as New Defaults.
Pastaba:
New default properties only apply to future form fields you create. Existing fields keep their current settings.
