Learn what to do when you are unable to enable forms for Adobe Acrobat Reader users.
Incompatible Acrobat version
The form-enabling feature is not available in Adobe Reader. To fill in and save Reader-enabled forms, you must have Acrobat Pro, Pro Extended, or Standard (version 8 or later), and the recipient users must have version 8 or later of Acrobat Reader.
Restrictive security settings
Windows
Select Menu > Document properties.
Select the Security tab.
Ensure Filling of form fields is allowed in the security settings.
macOS
Open the form in Acrobat.
