Change redaction appearance in Acrobat Pro

Learn how to customize the look of redaction marks before applying redactions to your PDF using Adobe Acrobat.
Try it in the app
Remove sensitive content and hidden data from your PDFs in a few simple steps.
Select Set Properties from the left pane.
In the dialog box that opens, adjust the following settings as needed:
- Redacted area fill color: Select a color for redacted areas or choose No Color for transparency.
- Use overlay text: Turn on this option to display text over redacted areas.
- Custom text: Enter the text to appear in redacted areas.
- Font: Specify the font, size, and alignment of overlay text.
- Redaction code: Select a predefined code or create a new one for redacted areas.
- Customize redaction mark appearance: Set outline and fill colors for redaction marks and adjust opacity.
Select OK.
