Learn what generative credits are and how to use them for generative AI features in Creative Cloud products.
Explore the basics of how generative credits work.
Generative credits are used to generate high-quality image, vector, video, and audio outputs. They can be used in most Creative Cloud products in your plan, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and Adobe Firefly.
Most standard generative features use 1 credit per generation. Some standard features will exceed 1 credit per generation as they require more power to run. If you have a Creative Cloud Pro or Firefly plan, you have unlimited access to standard generations.
Premium generative AI features, such as video creation, consume more power and therefore cost more credits per use. The number of credits used on each premium feature will depend on the model selection, output, and file size. For example, generating 5 seconds of video will use fewer credits than translating 10 minutes of video.
To see a full list of standard and premium generative features, refer to Creative Cloud Generative AI Features.
If you run out of credits, you can either wait until your generative credit balance resets for the next month or purchase more through the Firefly or Credit add-on plans.
