Go to the Taskbar, right-click Creative Cloud icon.
Select Close window.
This error occurs when the Creative Cloud updater detects another instance of the app running, which prevents the update from proceeding.
You need to close a conflicting instance of the Creative Cloud app before you can update the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Go to the Taskbar, right-click Creative Cloud icon.
Select Close window.
Ctrl-click Creative Cloud in the dock.
Select Quit.
Before updating a Creative Cloud app, close all conflicting processes that can cause update failure.
Right-click the Taskbar and select Task Manager.
Go to Processes and look for any running Creative Cloud processes.
Select any running Creative Cloud processes and then select End task.
Press Command + Spacebar to open Spotlight search and type Activity Monitor.
In the Activity Monitor window search bar, type Creative Cloud.
Double-click any running Creative Cloud processes and select Quit, then select Force Quit if prompted.
