Search media using Semantic Search in Elements Organizer

Smarter Search (Beta)
Smarter search understands what you mean, not just what you type. Describe what you’re looking for and the Elements Organizer finds it, even if the exact words don’t match any of your tags.
You can enter queries such as:
- Pictures of mountains during sunset
- Images from the beach trip
- Wedding photos
- Desert landscape
- Person wearing red shirt
To run a Smarter Search
As you type, Elements Organizer interprets your query and displays the matching photos and videos automatically.
To start a new search, select the cross (×) button in the search bar to clear your query, and then enter a new description.
Note
Your media becomes searchable shortly after it is imported and analysed. If a recently imported photo does not appear in your results right away, wait a few moments and search again.
Refine results with hybrid search
Hybrid Search lets you combine a natural language query with keyword tags to narrow down your results.
As you type in the search bar, Elements Organizer displays matching keywords, tags, places, and events as suggestions. Select a suggestion to filter the results, and then enter a description to further refine the results and find the media you're looking for.

In the left panel, select the keyword tags you want to use to refine the results.
Elements Organizer displays the media that matches both your query and the selected tags.
Note
To clear your refinements, select the cross (×) button in the search bar to remove the natural language query, or select Clear Tags to remove the selected keyword tags below the search bar.
Note
You can continue to use the existing search options in Elements Organizer along with Smarter Search.
Reuse recent searches
Your recent searches are saved automatically so you can run them again without retyping.
To perform a traditional keyword-based search instead of a semantic search, uncheck the Natural Language Search checkbox in Preferences. To learn more, see Using Search.
