Auto reframe video for different aspect ratios

Last updated on May 14, 2026

Learn how to automatically reframe your video to fit vertical or square formats in Adobe Premiere on iPhone.

Auto reframe helps you quickly adapt landscape videos for different aspect ratios, such as vertical (9:16) or square (1:1). It automatically identifies the main subject in your footage and adjusts framing over time, so your content stays centered without manual keyframing.

Open your project in Premiere on iPhone and go to the timeline.

Select the clip you want to reframe and tap Auto reframe. Premiere analyzes the clip and automatically reframes it to match the selected format.
