Enable Adobe Shockwave Player in Internet Explorer and Firefox

Enable Shockwave Player on Internet Explorer

  1. Click the Tools (gear) icon.

    Click the tools icon in the upper-right corner of Internet Explorer
  2. In the pop-up menu that appears, choose Manage Add-Ons.

    In pop-up Tools menu, click Manage Add-Ons
  3. In the dialog box that appears, select Toolbars and Extensions.

  4. In the list of add-ons, look for Shockwave ActiveX Control (another name for Shockwave Player).

    In the Status column, check to see whether Shockwave ActiveX Control is disabled. If it is, click the row for Shockwave ActiveX Control to highlight it.

  5. Click Enable.

  6. Close the Manage Add-ons dialog box

  7. Click Refresh to reload the web page. If you see the animation playing in step 5 of Shockwave Player Help, then Shockwave Player has been successfully enabled.

Enable Shockwave Player on Firefox

  1. Choose Firefox > Add-ons.

    Open Firefox, select Firefox in top left-corner and select Add-ons from menu
  2. Select Plugins.

    On Firefox Add-ons Manager screen, click Plugins.
  3. In the list of Add-ons, look for Shockwave for Director (another name for Shockwave Player). Check the status that appears to the right of the plug-in name.

    From Add-ons list, find Shockwave for Director, check if enabled or disabled
  4. Select Always Activate from the pop-up menu.

    In Firefox Add-ons Manager select Always Activate
  5. Close the Add-ons Manager.

  6. Click Refresh to reload the web page. If you see the animation playing in step 5 of Shockwave Player Help, then Shockwave Player has been successfully enabled.
