Overview

Design options in Adobe Captivate allow users to create variations in content layout and styling for slides, content blocks, question slides, interactive components, and widgets. Learn more about design options in Adobe Captivate.  

However, if your organization needs a design tailored to its branding guidelines, you can create custom design options. This process includes making layout changes with CSS, updating layouts for different devices, customizing object styles, and sharing the customized design options. Import custom design options 

Users can import shared design option ZIP files into Captivate to reuse custom design options across various content blocks or components in their projects.

  1. Go to File > Import > and then select Custom Design Options.

  2. You can either copy and paste the path to the folder or ZIP file or browse to locate and select the custom design options.

  3. Use the side panel to expand each category and select the custom designs required or choose Select all option to import all at once.

  4. If a custom design option with the same ID already exists, you can overwrite it by selecting the checkbox to replace design options with matching IDs.

    However, if a custom design option has the same ID as an existing design option, it will be marked as a duplicate.

  5. Select Import to load the custom design options. The imported options will appear in the Design Options section of the Visual Properties panel under their respective categories.
