Allow signers to apply digital signatures to multiple agreements with a single authorization from the Manage page.

Bulk digital signing lets users apply their digital signature to multiple agreements in one operation from the Manage page. Users select multiple agreements waiting for their signature, review them in sequence, and complete signing with a single certificate authorization. Agreements can be skipped during review, giving users control over which documents are signed.

Controls

Allow authenticated signers to apply cloud signatures in bulk from the Manage page

When enabled, users can select multiple agreements awaiting their digital signature from the Manage page and apply a single certificate authorization to sign all selected agreements.

When disabled, users must open each agreement individually and authenticate each time they apply their signature.

Best practices

Allow authenticated signers to apply cloud signatures in bulk from the Manage page

  • Choose between efficiency (bulk signing) and controlled selection (skipping individual agreements) based on your organization’s risk tolerance.
  • Enable this setting for environments where users regularly sign large volumes of agreements. Bulk signing reduces repetitive signing steps and improves efficiency while maintaining standard digital signature authentication and audit controls.
  • Bulk signing presents each agreement in sequence before applying a signature, allowing users to review or skip agreements as they proceed. This supports efficient signing workflows while preserving user control over which agreements are signed.
  • Leave this setting disabled if bulk processing of agreements introduces risk due to users unintentionally skipping agreements, or if your organization requires fully independent signing for each agreement.

How the setting works

When bulk digital signing is enabled, an action becomes available on the user’s Manage page that allows them to:

  • Select multiple agreements in the Waiting for you status.
  • Review each agreement in sequence.
  • Apply their digital signature to all selected agreements using a single authentication and signature action.

Each agreement is processed independently and records its own digital signature event and audit entry, maintaining the existing cloud-signing security and authentication model.

To understand how this configuration affects the user experience, review the related process documentation.

Things to know

  • Bulk signing works as a guided, sequential review process where each agreement is presented individually before the final signing action is completed.
  • Only agreements in the Waiting for you state that require the current user’s digital signature are eligible for bulk signing.
  • Bulk signing processes each agreement independently. Some agreements may be signed successfully while others fail and must be completed separately.
  • Users must either sign or skip each agreement during the bulk signing process.
  • Agreements that are not eligible or that change state during processing are not signed as part of the bulk action.
  • Each agreement retains its own audit trail entry for the digital signature event.
