Configure CC events in audit reports - New

Control whether CC notification activity appears in audit reports.
Adobe Acrobat Sign can include CC notification events in audit reports when your organization needs an audit record showing that CC recipients were notified.
By default, CC notification events are not included in audit reports. This protects customers that use CCs to notify internal teams, repositories, or process owners that should not be exposed in an externally shared audit artifact.

Changes apply to agreements sent after the setting is changed. Historical agreements are not updated retroactively.
Enable or disable CC notification events in audit reports
Go to Account Settings > Send Settings > CCs.
Select or clear Include the notification events for CCs in the audit report.
To include automatic CC notification events, select Include the notification events for automatic CCs in the audit report.

When enabled, Acrobat Sign includes qualifying general CC and per-recipient CC notification events in the audit report.
When disabled, CC notification events are not included in the audit report.

When enabled, Acrobat Sign includes qualifying automatic CC notification events in the audit report.
This control applies only when CC notification events are enabled for the audit report.
How CC audit events work
When CC audit events are enabled, Acrobat Sign records qualifying CC notification events with a timestamp. The audit record identifies the CC recipient and records that the notification was sent to the recipient as a CC.
The audit report can include events when CC recipients are notified of the agreement and when CC recipients are notified that the agreement has completed.
CC completion notifications do not include the audit report because the audit report has not been generated and sealed when the CC notification is sent. Existing group configuration determines whether the CC completion notification includes the signed agreement.

Things to know
- CC audit events are disabled by default.
- Enabling CC audit events can expose CC names or email addresses in audit artifacts.
- Enabling CC audit events does not change who receives CC emails.
- Enabling CC audit events does not attach the audit report to CC notification emails.
- Automatic CC notification events are excluded unless the automatic CC audit option is enabled.
- Canceled and expired agreement notification events are not included.
- Historical agreements are not updated retroactively when the setting is enabled.
