Adobe Connect 9.4 Release Notes


Adobe Connect is a market-leading web conferencing solution that enables corporations and government agencies worldwide to improve collaboration, webinars, and eLearning through exceptionally rich interactions. This release delivers critical new enhancements and capabilities to address challenges faced by many organizations in conducting virtual meetings, webinars, and trainings. This release also resolves a number of issues and bugs.

Release date

Adobe Connect 9.4 will be rolled out in phases:

  • On-premise: Adobe Connect 9.4 installer for customer premise deployments (All supported Locales): This patch is available on the Connect 9 on-premise patches page here.
  • Hosted: Adobe Connect 9.4 service hosted by Adobe: Starting March 8th, 2015. Please check the migration schedule for your account here
  • Managed Services: Adobe managed customer specific cloud deployment of Adobe Connect: Update scheduled based on customer requirement. Please reach out to your Adobe Connect managed services representative to schedule your update

Adobe Connect 9.4 release discontinues the support for following:

What's New in Adobe Connect 9.4

The Adobe Connect 9.4 release provides new functionality and bug fixes across many different areas of the product. Here’s a summary of the new features you can find in Adobe Connect 9.4 .

New User Groups

New user groups are added with this release.

Seminar Administrators

Formally known as the Seminar Host group,  members of this group will have access to:

  • Shared Webinar rooms under Shared Seminar sub tab
  • Event Management tab


Webinar Manager (100, 500 or 1000)

Members of this new group will have access to:

  • A named seminar license under the My Seminars sub-tab
  • Event Management tab


Virtual Classroom Manager

Members of this new group will have access to:

  • Create virtual classrooms with a capacity of 200 under My Trainings sub-tab
  • Event Management tab

Add-in crashes when we try to change the audio provider in the meeting itself on win 8.1. Workaround is to change the audio profile from the web app


Password doesn’t expire as scheduled even if set to expire under password policies setting by administrator


Accessibility: shortcut Ctrl+space induces layout changes instead of moving focus on Menu bar, when focus is on some layout in the layout bar


Accessibility: When JAWS user starts Record Meeting - Name for recording is not generated by default and is left empty


Denied users are shown wrong message when they visit Event pages. Instead of telling them that they have been denied by Event Manager, they are told that event is not published yet


While using whiteboard, any text entered to a drawing becomes a little distorted after rotating that object
