Upgrade your signature device to use Microsoft CNG API instead of Crypto API for digital signatures

Acrobat displays the following warning message if your signature device uses the legacy Crypto API drivers for digital signature: "Acrobat detected access to the legacy Microsoft Crypto API library (MS CAPI), which is deprecated and will be removed soon. Please contact your vendor to upgrade your signature device to Microsoft CNG API."

Solution

Contact your signature device vendor to upgrade the drivers to Cryptography API: Next Generation (CNG). Microsoft has deprecated the Crypto API and recommends moving to CNG API. For more information, see Cryptography API: Next Generation (CNG).
