Learn how to transform, draw, erase, and mask selections while keeping your edits within defined boundaries in Fresco.
Resize, rotate, or move shapes on the canvas without altering their internal content (such as text or images).
Before you begin
Make sure the Shapes 
tool is selected in the Toolbar.
Tap the options icon in the Taskbar and select Load as selection.
The shape will be converted into a selection.
Tap More action > Transform selection.
Adjust the selection as needed (resize, rotate, or move).
Draw inside the selection
Drawing inside a selection lets you maintain the original outline after deleting a shape. You can paint or add effects freely and your edits will stay neatly within the selection boundary, preventing any spillover.
Before you begin
Make sure the Shapes tool is selected in the Toolbar.
Tap the desired shape directly on the canvas, or select it from the Layer Thumbnails panel.
Tap the options icon in the Taskbar and select Load as selection.
The shape will be converted into a selection.
Tap the options icon in the Taskbar and select Delete layer.
Draw directly inside the selection. Your strokes and effects will remain contained within the boundary.
Tap Deselect action to view your finished work.
Erase contents in the selection
Remove specific content from your artwork while preserving everything outside the selected area. Clean, refine, or shape your work without affecting the rest of the layer.
Before you begin
Make sure the Shapes tool is selected in the Toolbar.
Tap the desired shape directly on the canvas, or select it from the Layer Thumbnails panel.
Tap the options icon in the Taskbar and select Load as selection.
Keep the selection active.
Tap Erase action to erase only the contents within the selection.
Mask and draw inside the selection
Use a mask inside a selection to conceal specific areas without altering the original artwork for precise and non-destructive editing.
Place the desired shape and tap Done.
Tap Load as selection and hide the shape layer.
Select the target layer and tap Mask action. The mask will follow the outline of the shape.
Use the Brush tool on the mask thumbnail to paint and reveal content as needed.
