You can export photos to a folder on your computer or an external drive. When exporting photos, Lightroom creates new image files that include your edits and other changes so you can easily share with others.

To export photos, follow these 3 simple steps:

Select the photos to export.

  • If you're in Photo Grid () view or Square Grid () view, select the photo(s) you want to export.
  • If you're in Detail () view, select the photo(s) that you want to export from the filmstrip.
  • You can use Shift-click or Cmd/Ctrl-click to select multiple photos.

Click the Share icon  in the upper-right corner.

In the Share menu, you can find preset options to quickly export your photos. Select JPG (Small), JPG (Large), Original, or Previous Settings. Lightroom will then prompt you to select a location to export the photos to.
