When trying to open a licensed image in an application via the Adobe Stock website (, you receive the error message "Could not open your file".

The Creative Cloud Desktop App is required to open an image in an application from Adobe Stock.


  • Make sure you have the latest version of Creative Cloud Desktop App installed.
  • Double-check which ID you used to sign into Creative Cloud Desktop App: this must be the same ID (email address) and same ID type (Adobe ID, Enterprise ID, Federated ID) as the one you are using on the Adobe Stock website.
