Mesh objects overview

Learn how to use meshes to blend colors, add depth, and create a gradient effect on objects.
A mesh object is a multicolored object on which colors can flow in different directions and transition smoothly from one point to another. You can create mesh objects using the Mesh tool.
A. Mesh line B. Mesh point C. Mesh patch
Mesh objects consist of the following components:
- Mesh line: It’s the crisscross lines that appear when you create a mesh on an object. They define the structure of the mesh and help manage color transitions. You can move or adjust points along the mesh lines to fine-tune color intensity and distribution.
- Mesh point: It’s the intersection of two mesh lines. It shares the same properties as anchor points but has the additional capability of accepting color. You can view, add, modify, move, and delete anchor points in the mesh.
- Mesh patch: It’s the area between any four mesh points. Similar to working with mesh points, you can apply or adjust colors directly within a patch.
